The administrators I talked to this afternoon all described the gathering today of representatives from the Cheyenne Conference, the Twin Lakes League and the Pike Trail League as very positive.
The meeting, which was held in Beloit, was the second organizational meeting sponsored by the 3-leagues.
Southern Cloud Superintendent Roger Perkins has been one of the movers-and-shakers trying to get the 16-team super league off the ground.
Perkins said the big breakthrough at today’s meeting was a commitment from all 16-schools in the three leagues and the organization of a 9-person committee to begin working out structural details.

Perkins says the game plan is to start incorporating school activities like music, scholar bowl and forensics next year and getting the athletics on board with league schedules in the 2011-12 school year.
The new league would consist of two 8-team divisions with some activities done within the division confines and others done as a full16-team league.
