Wise Steps Down at Osborne; Joining El Dorado Staff

Osborne High School head football coach Brandon Wise is stepping down from that position and will be moving on to El Dorado High School to become the offensive coordinator for the Wildcats.  Wise was approved by the USD 490 El Dorado Board of Education on Monday night.

Wise spent two seasons at Osborne, the first as an assistant and this past season as the head coach.  In his one year as the head coach, the Bulldogs went 11-2 and finished as the 8-Man DII State Runner-up to Hanover.  Osborne outscored their opponents by a 56-21 average in 2018.  They cruised through the western side of the playoffs, winning their three games by a 55-9 average before falling to Hanover, 58-50 in the championship game.

Here at KD Country 94 & Z 96.3 “The Lake” Sports, we had a chance to talk with Wise about his move.  He offered his thoughts on what he’ll remember most about his group of players at Osborne.

For our full interview with Wise, listen to The Sports Ticket on Wednesday morning.  The show starts around 9:10.

Prior to coming to Osborne in 2017, Wise spent one season as the head coach at Marais des Cygnes Valley in 2016.  Before that, Wise spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Central Plains from 2012-2015, which included an undefeated 8-Man DI state title under Chris Steiner in 2014.

KD Country 94 & Z 96.3 “The Lake” Sports will continue to follow the story and pass along more info when a new coach is named at Osborne.
